It's just a few hours until the big event. I didn't want to miss it so while it hasn't happened as I write this I want to make sure I wish everyone a............

For those of you with kids, or those of you who are bored now that all the excitement of Christmas is over, I have found a great little site that has some wonderful origami. The link takes you directly to an origami mouse, but on the page is a link to all the other origami projects available. There is something for almost every holiday and others just for fun at any time. Print, fold, and enjoy.

I had a very nice holiday, and right now I am looking forward to the new year.
I just wanted everyone to see a sample of the type of presents I received this year. Dancing Granny in a Globe is perfect. Maybe not a great value but still a lot of fun.

Everyone has probably heard about the latest IE security issue with spoofing, by including the "%01" and "%00" in a URL. You can protect yourself by going to Openwares.org and downloading their security patch. It is scary when you try the:

Just an update on Google. They quietly introduced a few new features recently.

The most useful of these is the Search By Numbers feature. With it you can enter a UPS or FedEx tracking number, Patent number, FAA airplane registration number, or a FCC equipment ID number in google's standard search box. The FCC equipment ID is very useful as you can track down the manufacture of almost any electronic circuit board since most must have this number on the product somewhere.

Also introduced is Travel Conditions. Use it to see delays and weather conditions at any particular airport. Just type the airport's three letter code followed by the word "airport." For example, San Francisco International Airport updates can be found by searching for "sfo airport.

Lastly, Froogle Results. When you Google search for any product name you'll be shown a product search box at the top of your search results. The cool part about it is its not an advertisement. You'll also have an opportunity to jump right to Froogle with your current search.

Go toMcMillan's Snowman Builder for a little fun and maybe help the Children's Wish Foundation. This is a fun little application that lets you build your own personal snowman (should that be snowperson?) and they also say that they will donate up to $5,000 to charity. Once you build it send it to your friends by the link provided.

My Popfile has gone off track. Looks like some messages have figured out a way around the Bayesian filter. I haven't seen any reports of others having issues yet. Maybe it was jut me. I have such weird taste, that some of my emails may look like spam to the filters, and I have re-classified them too many times.
For now I have deleted the filters I have build and will try to re-train with a few more categories as well. I will have to see how this works. I have loved the way Popfile has perform until last week. Hopefully it will work again. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience?

An interesting application, I first heard of from CNN, is Skype.com. They are providing an app that, when downloaded on two PC's, will allow them to use telephony over I/P. I haven't tried it but I have been told that it is very good quality and so far it's FREE.

Once again, I have been very remiss with postings here. Work is keeping me busy and that end of the year is always hectic. From now until January there will be few postings. I will try but no promises.
Meanwhile, I have posted this before but it is the time of year when you scratch your head about what to get for those difficult people who have everything. Well, just solve your problems by using the ACME Catalogue. The definitive collection of all those wonderful items found in the Loony Tune cartoons. There is something for everybody here.

Blogshares has been terminated. If you click on the link you will get the official screen announcing the close down. I haven't been doing much there for the past while. It was lots of fun at first and I met a few interesting and creative people via the site. At least my premium membership was almost over. Now I won't have to renew. Someday when I have time I will have to clean up the Blogshares links on this blog.
