Check Homestarrunner.com out
Go to Homestarrunner for some entertaining and humorous cartoons.

I don't know what's going on. There really hasn't been very much worth passing on in this blog, so I haven't had any reason to log on and enter anything. There are so many other blogs and news sources to keep up with what is happening. Guess I just feel lazy too! So it takes effort to overcome the lethargy. Today I have.

If you are a fan of Escher, like I am, then Escher Web Sketch allows you to draw repeating patterns, just like the artist might. You can select the symmetry of the patterns by clicking on one of the icons in the bar above the drawing area. The drawing tools are selected from the icon bar under the drawing area. You can also change the pattern size and placement with the Modify cell button. The right hand side of the drawing area is reserved for each drawing tool's usage. Typically it changes the pen size and colour. Give it a try.

For anyone interested in fonts, check out this site at typenow.net. More than 200 fonts, many of which you'll recognize from movies, TV, bands, games, and products are there. A great nostalgic resource.

A Search Engine for Brand Names is an interesting idea. Wondering about the "official" site for a brand or product? Sometimes when trying to find such a thing online is a chore. Try VisioBrand, a search engine/directory for only "official" brand sites. I haven't tried this in depth but the couple of brands I entered looked like it will be useful.

In my last post I talked about GDrive. It is very good but you have to have access to a PHP enabled account. Now Endgadget has step by step instructions that show you how to use your Gmail account’s one gigabyte of storage for files using a shell extension. Hopefully Google won't be too upset by these type of utilities. The usefulness is just to great. Check out the two and see which one you like best.
