Another update so soon? I don't know what to say. I just forgot that I also wanted to document a nice little utility. The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping. It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Office 97, and Office XP.
Skip at 6:07 AM Old news by now, but in case you haven't heard Konfabulator was bought by Yahoo. They have made the previously pay for product FREE! Hundreds of widgets, for news, weather, calculators, games, etc. are available for the Mac and Windows versions. Skip at 4:33 AM XMailHardDrive has this notice on there site today: Google has changed the way Gmail logs-in, therefore we must change our connection script in order to make our website function again. If you login right now, it will say, invalid username / password... We are sorry for the inconvience. Is this a sign of things to come? Skip at 5:32 AM Today’s shameless time killer comes straight from the Cnet archives. 10 Web Fads. Skip at 6:12 AM Now this is something I'd like to have. What a great idea for a keyboard! Each key will be a miniature screen. Useful, being able to map the keys and not even that, change the key to match different programs. Very cool! I'm sure it's going to be expensive, but if it's not *too* expensive I want one. Skip at 5:53 AM Interested in the concept and availalbity of free software? Then check out Free Software Magazine. From the "Free Software Magazine" project, this is the magazine for the free software world. You can subscribe, but you can also check out the free issues first. The first four issues are available in PDF for downloading. Skip at 6:29 AM If you are running XP check out this page to see a list of items that may give you a significant performance boost. Skip at 11:50 AM As a web-based server solution, PDF Online allows you to automatically convert documents from your PC or your Mac, from your home or your office or anywhere in the world! Nothing to install on your PC. This looks like a great service. Thanks is due to Raju for pointing this out. Skip at 7:01 PM For anyone interested, the Globe and Mail has this quiz on issues Canadians have been polled on. I tried and only got 14 out of 20 right. How up on Canadian issues are you? If you are not Canadian, take it to learn what Canadians think. If you are Canadian see how much you know and/or agree with your fellow citizens. Skip at 5:51 AM Move over Ebert & Roeper, to the delight of any Muppets fan Statler & Waldorf have gone into the movie review business. I ran across this at Movies.com. It looks like there will be a weekly review by these two curmudgeons. No thumbs up or done, for Statler & Waldorf you know how good the movie is by keeping awake. Watch them give their opinions on 'War of the Worlds' and 'Bewitched'. Falling asleep at the opening credits seems to be the ultimate put down. There is also a weekly DVD review by Pepe the King Prawn. After watching the premier episode I will be returning for more. Skip at 6:21 AM |
