Another share of one of my MP3s. I set up a new one once a week and give you seven days to check it out. After that it will be gone and replaced by a new selection. Please don't link to this. Just click on the link and save it. For this week: Alanis Morissete "21 Things I Want in a Lover" What Canadian collection would be complete without something from Alanis. Her 'Jagged Little Pill' album burst on to the world stage with such a bang. Nothing since has had the impact of that album. Even after years of listening I still enjoy all of the songs, and listen regularly. What more can I say. Enjoy. Skip at 6:00 AM A little Friday fun. Are you concerned about where you are going to arrive if you dig a very deep straight infinite hole on Earth? Your problem is solved! Check out this site and you can see. I always thought I'd end up in China, and most English kids are told they will end up in Australia! Now, I know better! Skip at 4:57 AM I haven't tried this, but it sounds interesting. DriveImage XML is claimed to be an easy to use and reliable program for imaging and backing up partitions and logical drives. The program allows you to backup logical drives and partitions to image files, browse these images, view and extract files, restore these images to the same or a different drive, and copy directly from drive to drive. The program is free for home use. Skip at 7:50 AM If you ever run across a file extenstion you don't recognize, or like me forget what program uses a file extension, a place to bookmark is FILExt.COM. FILExt is a database of file extensions and the various programs that use them. It provides an easy search and detailed info. Skip at 6:51 AM Another share of one of my MP3s. For this week: Nickelback "Photograph" and Nickelback "Next Contestant" Two from Nickelbacks's newest album!! Due to personal problems and server problems, I wasn't going to post anything again this week, but then I got to thinking about Nickelback's new album and copy protection. They released it with software so that you can copy it to a blank CD 3 times. Also you can pull the songs off for an MP3 player but ONLY in WMA protected format. Great if you have a player that supports WMA protected. Tough luck if you don't! So, here are two MP3 tracks. Photograph is the track getting lots of radio play, Next Contestant is just one that I like. So much for your #$#$^&*^% copy protection!!!!!!! If it wasn't there I would never have posted a song from a brand new album. Skip at 7:00 AM Coming soon.Check back next week.
Skip at 6:31 AM Happy Canadian THANKSGIVING Skip at 7:01 AM For some Friday fun: Have you ever recieved a gift that came with bubble wrap and it was better than the gift itself? Now you can snap them all day long! Enjoy, as you pop virtual bubbles at SnapBubbles.com Now, FYI. I will be away for the next while. Sorry, No posts, and No MP3s. I will, for the most part, not be near any computers, so check back around the 24th of October. Skip at 6:06 AM Bob Cerelli has been collecting Windows XP Tips for a long time and posting them on his web site. I thought I'd put the link here for anyone using XP who may want to check. There are lots of tips collected over the last 4 years, some of which you may have missed. Skip at 4:49 AM Another share of one of my MP3s. I set up a new one once a week and give you seven days to check it out. After that it will be gone and replaced by a new selection. Please don't link to this. Just click on the link and save it. For this week: Since Neil released his new album Prairie Wind last week, I thought it was a good time to revisit one of his classics. I have been a fan of all Neil's work, whether alone, with the too short lived Buffalo Springfield, or with Crosby and Stills. Always a favorite of mine, is this one taken from the Greatest HITS [Best of] 2004 album. That was his first ever CD greatest-hit collection. Skip at 7:02 AM |
