    "Brand New Day"

I know a lot of people don't like Sting. I think he is great and have followed his career from the Police to solo superstar with keen interest. I decided to share the title track from the 2004 album "Brand New Day" this week. This is just one song from a great album. Well worth owing.

    Mp3 Share Jason Mraz
    "Wordplay"

I like to watch Austin City Limits on PBS and a while ago I tuned in to a show with Jason Mraz. I was totaly engaged by his music and quite taken with the strange last name. I wanted to share a cut from his newest album "Mr. A-Z" and was torn between "Workplay" and "The Geek in Pink". You can see which one I choose but I highly recommend you grab the album to hear the rest. Especially the Geek song. If you can't wait visit his official site and find the link "listen to Geek in Pink" on his myspace site.

    Happy 4th Anniversary
I just realized it has been 4 years since my first blog entry.
    August 16th 2002
The proof is in the history sidebar, just a click away. When I started I had grand plans and high hopes for this blog. It quickly turned into just a public bookmark site of things that caught my fancy. And now, I also use it to display my weird eclectic taste in music. I get just enough feedback to keep me motivated. If you like they way things are let me know. If you don't, tell me too. We'll find out how much longer this can go on.

    Mp3 Share Gym Class Heroes
    "New Friend Request"

My tastes must be changing. I was into the new Billy Talent II album and now I found a Hip Hop group that has passed muster. Of course, this one actually has some great music and craftmanship. The tune this week is from the new release called "As Cruel As School Children" from the Gym Class Heroes. I picked this one because it mentions Canada in the lyrics. This album is the follow up to their 2005 debut call "Papercut Chronicals". I now have to get that one too! I heard about this group from Geneva NY. They have had good press from various gigs and the lead singer made news when he collaborated with "Cobra Starship" to record "Snakes on a Plane" which will be on the soundtrack of the much anticipated movie of the same name. It opens this week!!! Check out the movie on August 18th.

Beamfile is a very user friendly file transfer utility. It lets you transfer large files. You can send files up to 5 GB in size. The file transfer is very fast, it's safe and secure. Beamfile uploads the file to a central server, sends a notification via email to the receiving party. The file can then be easily downloaded. It requires a download of some software to your computer and if the receiving party accepts the file a similar download will be done automatically if accepted. I haven't used this yet but I have seen some very good reviews.

    Mp3 Share Billy Talent
    "The Navy Song"

I got the new Billy Talent II album on a whim. It is the follow-up to their 2003 release. Now I know why Billy Talent has secured a reputation as one of today's most vital new combos. It is just great. I had to post one of the songs from the new album. A little bio from Amazon:
Although this "young" band has been together for years, the four Toronto musicians known collectively as "Billy Talent" have watched their lives change dramatically since the 2003 release of their successful self-titled debut. The group's videos dominated Much Music while their songs remained on the charts long enough to reach double-platinum status in Canada. On a personal level, two members have gotten married, one had a baby, and drummer Aaron Solowoniuk has admitted in a letter to fans that he has Multiple Sclerosis.
