I was of two minds this week. I was going to post a selection from Modest Mouse. Their new album "We Were Dead Before The Skip Even Sank" debuted as number three in the Canadian top ten albums. I picked it up out of curiosity and have grown to like it. However, the Kaiser Chiefs have been in the top ten for a while now. This album called "Yours Truly Angry Mob" is far superior to Modest Mouse. I may still post one from them but this week it was the "Heat Dies Down" from the superior UK group that won the day. Enjoy! Skip at 7:00 AM Check this out, you may want to grab your camera and have some Friday Fun! But Dane DIDN’T stop there. He jumped in his car and followed him around the block where the suspect changed clothes. Dane took his pic again and then gave it to police when they responded to the call. A little while later police found the suspect and attempted to apprehend him when shots were fired. Here’s the full article from the Modesto Bee. You can read from the statistics at this site that Internet Explorer 6 is still the most common browser, XP is the most dominating operating system, and most users are using a display with 1024x768 pixels or more, with a color depth of at least 65K colors. This info is updated monthly and can be a useful tool to see trends. Skip at 7:00 AM
Another post prompted by a song in a TV commercial. I've got to stop watching so much, or maybe I should record evertything and zap through the commercials. This one was plugging another car from The Teddybears album originally released in 2000 called "Rock N Roll High School". They turned out to be a Swedish group too! Here is "Yours To Keep" to enjoy. Skip at 7:00 AM Ever have that song in your head that you just can't remember the name? Check out NameMyTune. If you can sing or hum a tune into your microphone, Name My Tune will capture it and allow other visitors to name it! Try it out, and have some fun! Wallpass hates schools or workplaces that block online content such as MySpace, because everyone needs to chill out sometimes and what better way to do that than head over to MySpace, play a few online games, or just do whatever you want! Check it out. Skip at 7:00 AM
Canada's Arcade Fire is on...F.I.R.E.! What more can I say. The new album "Neon Bible" is just racking up the sales and praise from all the critics. It is great and I hope you have bought it. If not here's a sample called "Keep the Car Running" for you. Enjoy. Skip at 7:00 AM ![]() Skip at 7:00 AM dnScoop is many domain tools wrapped into one convenient package. I'm back and have another treat for you! This is the sophomore release by two members of the former group Luna. Dean and Britta married while making this album called "Back Numbers". It was released on March 6th and I've listened to it a lot. Hopefully you will enjoy the selection I have here called "The Words You Used To Say". Labels: MP3 Skip at 7:00 AM
I'm back but I decided not to post anymore....
APRIL FOOLI'll be back with a regular post tomorrow. After 2 weeks off it is hard to get back to work and I feel a bit rusty. Bear with me. Until tomorrow enjoy a classic April Fool... The Swiss Spaghetti Harvest
In 1957 the respected BBC news show Panorama announced that thanks to a very mild winter and the virtual elimination of the dreaded spaghetti weevil, Swiss farmers were enjoying a bumper spaghetti crop. It accompanied this announcement with footage of Swiss peasants pulling strands of spaghetti down from trees. Huge numbers of viewers were taken in, and many called up wanting to know how they could grow their own spaghetti trees. To this question, the BBC diplomatically replied that they should "place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best." Check out the actual broadcast archived on the BBC's website (You need the RealVideo player installed to see it, and it usually loads very slowly).
