I've got it. A very nice HP Pavillion. I have a computer that works and my exile is over! I also get a free upgrade to Windows 7, when it is released. Guess I shouldn't get too familiar (frustrated) with Vista.
Just in time there was a funny that I wanted to share with you. I really shouldn't blame the tools, but I want too!
Skip at 6:00 AM Oh boy. My computer died. I don't know how or when I can get a new one. All I can say is that I will probably be off-line for a couple of weeks. I can't be sure enough of when I can leech off of other computers so it is best not to even try. I will be back and I will try to continue. Please be patient and check back in a couple of weeks, or sooner if you have nothing better to do. Skip at 9:00 AM I knew it had to be, but now it is science!!! I'm sure there must be something similar in the dog world: A BBC report on research recently published in the journal Current Biology, indicating that cats manipulate humans by adding a baby-like cry to their purring. "Cat owners may have suspected as much, but it seems our feline friends have found a way to manipulate us humans. Researchers at the University of Sussex have discovered that cats use a 'soliciting purr' to overpower their owners and garner attention and food. Unlike regular purring, this sound incorporates a 'cry,' with a similar frequency to a human baby's. The team said cats have 'tapped into' a human bias — producing a sound that humans find very difficult to ignore". Click here to see the BBC report. Skip at 6:00 AM If you are like me and still use Windows XP on some machines, you might want to check out XP Run Count Editor. XP keeps track of which applications are used the most. With this program you can manually modify each programs run count, and modify which programs are on the XP Recently used Program List. It's a free and fun app to play with. Check out XP Run Count Editor. Skip at 6:00 AM

Skip at 6:00 AM Windows 7 isn't even in general release yet and people are making apps to change it. CSMenu is a little application which acts like the classic start menu. It's designed for Windows 7, which doesn't have a classic start menu. You may want to keep this link for later. Skip at 6:00 AM
Rob Thomas may be known by you better as the lead singer in Matchbox Twenty. He just released a brand new album callled 'Cradlesong". If you liked Matchbox 20 then you will not be disappointed by Rob's newest. Today I am sharing a track called "Her Diamonds". Be sure to check out this Wiki for more info. Hope you enjoy my share and you check out this new album. Skip at 6:00 AM Skip at 6:00 AM Happy Canada Day!
Skip at 1:47 PM I've always liked OPERA as a browser. Now OPERA UNITE according to the developer, is a unique technology that turns any computer or device running Opera into a Web server. In other words, your computer (running Opera Unite) is truly part of the fabric of the Web, rather than just interacting with it, and it’s something anyone can use. With Opera Unite, everyday non-technical users can serve and share content and services directly from their own computers in the form of intuitive applications. That sounds kind of cool from a technology point of view, but what can you do with it, and why is it important? With Opera Unite, developers are given a chance to develop applications (known as Opera Unite services) that directly link people’s personal computers together, so that you can connect with one or more of your friends at the same time. It all happens through the browser, so no additional software has to be downloaded, and it will work wherever Opera works (Windows, Mac, Linux, and later mobile phones and other devices). Opera provides the platform and you provide the applications—what you create is limited only by your imagination. We believe Opera Unite will redefine what’s possible with Web applications, and we invite you to join us in moving beyond stale ideas and limitations". It's free. Check it out! Skip at 6:00 AM |
